Overview

We are seeking a dependable and skilled HVAC Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for maintaining HVAC systems and equipment, responding to service needs, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-minded, dependable, and able to work independently while following direction from site foremen and leads.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Clean filters and coils, check refrigerant levels, and inspect ductwork for leaks.
  • Calibrate thermostats and perform seasonal tune-ups.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC malfunctions.
  • Use tools such as multimeters, refrigerant gauges, and thermal imaging cameras.
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly to restore functionality.
  • Make plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
  • Maintain the job site by cleaning debris, sweeping work areas, setting up safety barriers, and maintaining an organized, hazard-free worksite.
  • Follow all local building codes, appliance standards, Occupational Health and Safety regulations, and site safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and various weather conditions.
  • Proficient in the use of smartphones and email technologies.
  • Previous experience in HVAC and restaurant maintenance industry.
  • EPA 608 certification required for refrigerant handling.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to successfully complete background checks and/or drug testing.
